“Alter of Bones” by Philip Carter: a review by BooksUnraveled

I read a book this weekend called “Alter of Bones” by Philip Carter.  Amazon.com book is a must read, a real page turner.  I know I couldn’t put it down! I read every chance I could! This is an action/adventure book in the style of Steve Berry and Dan Brown.  The story begins in San Francisco, goes back in time to a prison camp in Siberia, then back to the present day in Texas and goes on from there.  The story is basically about a secret cave in Siberia with a spring that is really the fountain of youth, the people that protect it and the people that want it for themselves. There are a few main characters but the “good guys” are Zoe, the latest in a long line of “keepers” and Ry, an ex Special Forces guy with personal reasons to join in the adventure. The bad guys are numerous with some unexpected additions as the book progresses. Speaking of unexpected that is what to expect in this book.  There are sharp turns and twists throughout! If you like conspiracies, hidden clues, chases, sexual tension (and release), suspense and action this is your book! An A+
