TSW Newsletter April 10 2010

April 14, 2010

Dear They Shall Walk Supporter,

Thank you for all of your support and prayers. They Shall Walk has been growing and the work we are doing has been reaching people around the world. Lives have been saved, changed and improved because of the support you have provided. Because of the Exercise Partners Program, people like Ted Walker have been able to exercise and experience an improvement in health and quality of life. Thank you.

Take a Lab Tour. You have to see it to understand the work we are doing. Gather some family and friends and call (206) 297-9255 to schedule a lab tour.

The Discovery Channel will be airing a story on the program “Daily Planet”. It was recorded on March 28, 2010 at our new Lab Facility in Georgetown (Seattle).

April 22–25, 2010 a delegation from They Shall Walk will be in San Francisco at the Robogames.net (Robot Olympics) to demonstrate the LIFESUIT™ Robotic Exoskeleton and to meet with attendees and scientists from all over the world.

May 21-24, 2010 a group will be returning to the Bay area to help with the launch of the Northern California Chapter of They Shall Walk at the Makers Fair. This event will have over 80,000 people in attendance. We expect to share hope with a lot of people.

June 24-July 3, 2010 a delegation will be taking the “They Shall Walk” message to India. A tour of the CMC Hospital and Nursing School of Vellore India will prepare the way for paralyzed persons in India to walk again. Rotary Clubs of the world are partnering with you to support this project. You can join the tour or sponsor a delegate for $2500.

Your support has allowed us to make amazing progress. If you could give just a little more we will be able to get one step closer to giving the gift of walking with the LIFESUIT™. Paralyzed people will have the benefit of mobility and exercise because of your help.

Give today. Online or in the mail.

Warm regards Monty Reed Founder & Executive Director

Shall Walk and Dance demonstration in Georgetown Saturday January 30, 2010 6:30pm watch the video on LIFESUITnews channel YouTube

The United Artists or Georgetown invited They Shall Walk to attend the First Anual Georgetown Winter Arts Celebration held at the Georgetown Ballroom on Saturday January 30,2010.  We set up a table and spent the evening admiring the other art on display as well as the show being put on by the other performers, live music, food and drink.

At 6:30pm Les Neu (Resource Director) and Monty Reed (Founder) took the stage and shared with the crowd what They Shall Walk is all about.  Four minutes later the music of Chumbawumba started to play and the LIFESUIT started to dance.  The LIFESUIT LS14 is the fourteenth prototype in a series of thirty six prototypes that are being developed.  The unique thing about the LIFESUIT is the flexability and power.  The machine can dance.  If you are skeptical, we suggest you take a look at the new LIFESUIT LS15.  It is not available for the public to view.  You have to be a member in order to see this one.

Only $25 per year to join They Shall Walk.  As a member you can get into our events early and you will recieve discounts on all They Shall Walk functions.  As we add to the list of sponsors you will have a chance to get discounts from many of the sponsors by presenting your membership card.    The memberships are coming soon and will be avaliable on our website.  If you would like to be notified please fill out the newsletter request formhttp://www.theyshallwalk.org/contact.asp

Sometimes protoypes are built and tested a bit and sent to market so the investors can get a return on thier investment.  The work being done at They Shall Walk is moving along at a slower steady pace.  We could have walked in the LIFESUIT using arm band crutches too, but we do not need them to walk.  For the fun of it we will be shooting a video of the LIFESUIT LS14 walking with arm crutches just like the Rewalk device.  Check back for the LIFESUITnews video coming soon.

After that we hope to see the LIFESUIT dancing with Ellen while Monty K Reed goes for a ride with the robot suit.  If you would like to see Monty K Reed and the LIFESUIT on the Ellen Show follow this link and tell them so.  http://ellen.warnerbros.com/show/respond/?PlugID=10

Travel anywhere in the world like Fiji France LA Seattle Georgia Texas Florida Arizona California and Walk in a LIFESUIT because insurance will pay for the system if enough people are wanting to use it.  Ten million people who have challanges walking will be able to use the system to return to work and make more money than every before.  You can help by contacting your insurance company and ask them to pay for the LIFESUIT and data recovery of any lost programs.   Contact: Blue Cross http://www.bcbs.com/, AARP  https://www.aarpmedicareplans.com/health-plans?type=MA ,  Safeco  www.safeco.com/

The data recovery of the programs stored in the LIFESUITs micro controller are automatic because of the data recovery redundancy.  Insurance will pay for any lost data and the delivery of the LIFESUIT by fedex UPS or DHL.

Last Minute Tax Deductions: Give to They Shall Walk and Save a Life.

It is the the holiday season.  Many people have been asked and many agree the best way to show them you care in this economic season we are in is to give to a charity in their honor.  Many people who want to give right now can not and would rather you give money to support missionaries, build an orphanage, prevent disease or give the gift of walking.

As the founder of They Shall Walk I hope that you will want to help your friends by giving to They Shall Walk in their honor so we can continue to give the gift of walking with your help.

The new lab is larger and we have been able to work on the LIFESUIT Robotic Exoskeletons prototypes LS15, LS16 and LS17 in the midst of unpacking.

Your support has allowed us to move into this larger space.  Most of the money coming in is earmarked for the Lab Rent and so we have got to use it for that and nothing else.

My holiday request to you is that you make an end of the year donation now that is undesignated so we can cover some of our other expenses.  This allows us to pay bills that are not as interest or exciting as the new lab space.

If you prefer designated funds please consider making the donation to They Shall Walk for:

Remember the teenage boy from Singapore.  He was going to commit suicide because he was paralyzed.  When he found out what we were doing at They Shall Walk he had hope that he would walk someday.  He is alive today because you have given.

Please give to They Shall Walk, give the gift of walking tomorrow, give the gift of hope today and save a life.
