A Cruise So They Shall Walk on the Islander Saturday June 5 2010

A Cruise So They Shall Walk on the Islander Saturday June 5 2010

Tickets are finally for sale online.  We had 95 tickets ordered over the phone, by mail and in person.  Today I answered a phone call from a fan in Olypia.  Her daughter heard about the cruise and they are coming to have a good time and support a great cause.

She was calling because the 'brown bag tickets' (brown paper tickets) website was not working.  She tried calling the ticket vender and the person on the phone was rude... "hmm...I may need to use a different ticket vendor next time."  I thought to myself.

Good thing she really wanted to go on the cruise.  I took her order over the phone and offered to mail the tickets in to her.  I told her about all of the auction items we have coming in.

Today we just added a "Body Lotion Pampering Basket", a $150 construction certificate, Hair Salon Certificate, Two In Home Massage, more jewlery and a dinner for two.

The guest speaker is Ms Wheelchair Washington 2006.  She has an inspirational story.

The MC is funny and effective.  The food will be wonderful.

It is going to be a great time and it will support a great cause.

In addition to helping with the basic operation of the research lab we are raising money to take the LIFESUIT to India.  I will be taking a trip that is now a year overdue to Vellore India.  I have been in communication with Doctors over there for two years now and they are ready for me to meet with them face to face.

I will tour the hospital, nursing school and meet with the local government, community and Rotary leaders.  We will be implementing the "Excercise Partners Program" in Vellore.  This program is so simple it could be implemented in every city in the world.

Volunteers help local paralyzed and mobility disabled persons to do simple range of motion and stretching three hours a week or more.  The Rotary Clubs of Seattle are all talking about it and a couple have stepped up the plate to commit to taking on one paralyzed person from thier community and help them to excercise.

From there we will be installing the LIFESUIT in the hospital in Vellore India and eventually all over the world.

We can only do this with your help.  Join us for the Cruise Saturday June 5 2010 7-11pm.  Tell your freinds and come have a great time.
